SS 12/13 Lookbook
Therese Rawsthorne's clothes are hard and soft, confident and understated, feminine and boyish. Her pieces consist of weather washed cotton, soft to metallic leathers with deconstructed tailoring .
The SS 12/13 Collection was inspired by a photograph by Shomei Tomatshu of a prostitute in Nagoya in 1958. She describes how the modernity of the image struck a chord in her and how she tried to translate it throughout the collection with dropped shoulder lines, big easy shapes and clean graphic prints.
The Collection consisted of lilac, lemon, glacier blue, peach and muted metallics in beautiful Italian fabrics. The fabrics included printed jersey, vintage lurex, crushed cotton and vintage washed viscose.
